Frequently asked questions

Is DeployButler the official rakazo service?

No. We are an independent guide and deployment service. Rakazo is Apache-2.0 open-source software (by elie222) that anyone may self-host; we sell the human work of deploying and operating it — not the software, and we do not represent the project.

Are my data and credentials safe?

In the deployment model, the server is opened under your own account, and conversations, memory, files, and model credentials live on your machine and in your accounts. We work only through the SSH access you grant, and you can revoke it any time after delivery. We will never ask you for a password, a verification code, or a full API key.

I am not technical at all. Can I still use this?

Yes — that is the point of done-for-you deployment. You personally handle only three things: paying for the server account, registering the owner account, and connecting the model (each with word-for-word steps and us on call, about 30 minutes). We do everything else and hand over a tested system.

Will an upgrade break my bots?

Rakazo is in beta and upgrades can change config formats, so the standard procedure is: full backup → upgrade → smoke tests (chat, memory, tools), and roll back if anything fails. In our own test, a full database restore took about 2 minutes. When hosting opens, it will follow the same procedure and prefer the stable channel.

Who maintains it after deployment?

Done-for-you includes 7 days of follow-up Q&A. Long-term upgrades, backups, and monitoring belong to the hosting subscription (not open yet; existing customers get first access). You can also maintain it yourself with the guides on this site — the critical steps are all written down.

Which models are supported?

Rakazo is bring-your-own-model: Claude and ChatGPT subscriptions via OAuth sign-in, or API keys, OpenRouter, or local models. Model costs are billed directly by your model account, never through us. See the install guide for the connection step.

Why close signups immediately after registering?

Between going public and you finishing registration, the signup form is open to the whole internet, and a stranger could claim the first account. In our flow, owner registration and closing signups happen back-to-back, with a verification check. Step 7 of the install guide covers it.

Is there a Chinese interface?

The official rakazo clients support Simplified Chinese, and our guides and service communication are available in Chinese — see the 中文 site.
